SNOW!

As most everyone knows by now on Dec. 30, 2010 in Mesa, at our house, we had snow flurries. It was kind of strange, but really awesome! Here's a short video I took. I just happened to walk out at the right moment. This was at around 2 pm. We had about a week of below freezing lows this winter. Crazy!

our Merry Christmas capers ...part 3, last one

The last week of December was just as busy as the week before. Weird, huh? We went to Zoo Lights with the Poll's, celebrated Bethany's 9th birthday, had some snow fall, yep SNOW, and said hello to 2011 by having the traditional fried food feast, as Ryan calls it, at the Stewart's followed by playing video games at the Quist's. The diaper bag held onto the delicious aroma of onion rings, cheese sticks and jalapenos frying for a week. It was a nice reminder to start going for walks every day again. Well, at least every other day... I did really well all through my pregnancy, but that was over 7 months ago. Although we did miss the Boat Light Parade and a couple of choir concerts, we had a fabulous Christmas season. Here are the last bunch of our holiday pictures.

our Merry Christmas capers ...part 1

We had quite a busy December once Evelyn was well. Ryan had some vacation days to use up before the end of the year so we were able to do a lot together and with our families. Not to mention all the fixes Ryan finished around the house. Here are a few of the highlights, including Christmas Day at both our parents homes.

Christmas Eve with the Stewart's.

Her cousin Sophie, 21 months old, wanted to read to Evelyn.

All the cousins looking sharp in their matching pajama pants made by Steph.

We enjoyed the sibling gift exchange, the nativity with the kids, and cookies, and Evelyn loved opening a few gifts that night. Although she wanted to taste the paper, she seemed to know there was something in the boxes for her to find.
