is it December yet?

I loooooove Christmas music! For as long as I can remember being part of a choir this time of the year has been as essential part of my Christmas season. I know some people get sick of the same, over-played, 99.9 stuff, but I'm not referring to songs like 'Last Christmas I gave you my heart' and 'Santa Baby.' I can sooooo live without hearing those too. I love the songs that are actually about Christ. What other season is there that gives public radio a reason to play songs about the Savior? Granted there aren't too many stations that would play Easter songs throughout March and April, but there aren't as many songs about the Easter Bunny as there are about old St. Nick either. I think it's great that we are able to hear songs about the Nativity provided on a public level. I'm sure not every nation in the world has that right, even Christian majority nations. So let those Christmas bells ring for as long as they can, I know I'll be tuned in as much as I can. I also found a great, free website with Christmas songs, about Jesus. It's nice to listen to while I check my email, or blog or do some gift browsing. Hope you'll check it out! www.yldsr.com

Fall Fun!!!

Well, October came and went, and really feels like a big blur... We had lots of fun doing everything from petting zoos to costume wearing, and birthdays galore! So here are a few pictures that captured the magic moments!
There was a costume lunch party for the 2010 babies in our ward Here they are, almost all dressed up!

I think this is the best picture I took of her in her mermaid outfit. It didn't take long to make and turned out pretty cute.

This girl loves dogs!

Just a quick nap after a snack on Sunday afternoon. This is actually the very first time she fell asleep in her high chair!

At the Stewart family home evening she had her first sucker!  All the cousins waiting to have a whack at the pinata!

Yes, I did it myself!

She took this toy over to Great Grandpa Chuck and was playing with him just before I was able to take a picture of it...
My wonderful Ryan's birthday! Evelyn is singing along. We also sang it to my mom, dad, Ryan's dad and my sister during October. I'm all caked out for a while.

Just sharing some pop-corn with Daddy.

Carving the pumpkin!
She wouldn't touch it with her hands, but kept wanting to put her toes in.

Root beer floats at Ryan's parents. Yummm!
At the ward trunk or treat! I was the fisherman who caught the mermaid and Ryan was... Ryan.

Did you know that jack 'o lanterns make great toddler benches?!

Enjoying the spoils in her very own, mommy made, black cat bag.. She now knows the word "candy".
